Universal Pre-K (UPK) is a publicly-funded, pre-kindergarten education program that allows families access to quality child care and instruction. Early childhood education is crucial for lifelong educational success. This program grants children access to a high-quality preschool program, regardless of their family’s income.

The North Utica Community Center offers two sessions of UPK -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon -- for children residing in the Utica City School district. Enrollment is open to any children with proof of residency, turning 4 by December 1st. Families are responsible for providing transportation. Families are encouraged to apply as early as possible, as spots do fill up.
